My Game Shipped, Now What?
Super Space Club shipped on Xbox and PC! We can all rejoice! I’m a billionaire!… Oh… wait, I’m not. Whoops.
The game came out, and it had a really warm reception! People really like the game, some would even say the love it. The soundtrack was especially a huge hit (thanks, Fat Bard!), but overall, only good things to say about it. That being said, I never made millions where I can just take my family and disappear to a remote paradise to live lavish for the rest of our lives, unfortunately. SO, what happens now? What’s next for GrahamOfLegend?
It’s time to make more games, of course! Shocking, I know :)
Switching to Godot
The most recent update I have for you is that I’m switching game engines. I’m moving on from using Unity for several reasons and am switching to Godot. Too long, boring - Unity has made one too many bad decisions, both objectively and subjectively, and I don’t feel comfortable using their engine for my games personally. I’m not gonna say I’m abandoning it completely, because you never know what the future will bring, but for now as it’s just me, I’m gonna dive into Godot and see what I can make with it. As a matter of fact, I already have, and I’ve been really enjoying it! Unity is great when you’re trying to make things of a certain scale, but my games have yet to reach that scale, so it’s of no concern to me.
What am I making? To be perfectly transparent, I’m not sure just yet. I have a few ideas for games I want to make, but for now, I just have a general direction I’ve been heading in and the skies are a clear and pristine blue. Looking forward to sharing more, but here’s an illustration I did for it recently.
Cozy, right? It’s gonna be something chill, but as for what exactly, we’ll see where the game takes us. It may be a lil hidden object game. Maybe you’ll get to build your own slice of paradise. Maybe I’ll make the next Animal Crossing… Okay, maybe not that ambitious hah, but we’ll see where this leads. I just know that It’s gonna be a fun new journey to share with you all.
